Itinerary Part-13: Arunachal Pradesh and Assam

Dear Readers,

Having completed my journey across most of mainland India and five of the seven north-eastern state of India on the All India Solo Trip (links to other itineraries at the end of the post), on this leg, I'll be covering the remaining two states of the "Seven Sisters" states - Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.  Arunachal Pradesh, "Land of Orchids" as translated in Sanskrit, is the largest of the seven north-east states and is also nicknamed as Land of Dawn-lit Mountains, quite fittingly. Assam is the state which is the connection between the north-eastern states and mainland India.

As with all the other Itineraries,  I've had help from friends, fellow bloggers, tourism department of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, travel companies and readers, providing me various inputs on availability of local transports, places to visit, places to stay, etcetera, to develop  this itinerary. And, as mentioned in previous posts, this itinerary is loosely based on various ideal situations. Thus, following it may not be possible due to reasons out of our hand during the trip.

Special mention of Koyeli Tours and Travels for providing invaluable support in making this itinerary.
