Information: A mash-up of lakes, forests, mountain
passes and pilgrimages, The tranquil surroundings, gurgling streams, crystal
clear water and dense alpine forests make the Dodital trek an ideal one for
first timers. Dodital is an emerald lake nestled amidst high mountains at an
altitude 3307 meters above sea level. With its serene setting and tranquil
environs, Dodital is arguably one of the most beautiful high altitude lake of
India. It is named after the rare Himalayan Trouts known as Dodi in local
language. Trek to Dodital is easy, but the trail gets moderate if you trek
towards Darwa Pass. A wide range of imposing Himalayan renge can be seen from
Darwa Top.
